Coastwatch Program – oregonshores.org
NWWSC local conservation partner. Mile adopters volunteer to steward a mile of the Oregon coast. Seasonally they walk their mile and make a thorough report of it. These reports are then sent in to the coordinator who compiles the information, sends it on to regional coordinator where it can be reviewed and accessed as necessary. Thanks to these passionate citizens, every foot of Oregon’s shoreline is under observation. Any number of people can adopt a mile, and the goal not yet achieved—is to have at least two watchers on every mile. Consider stewarding a mile along the Oregon Coast!
