Northwest Women's Surf Camps offers Private & Group Surf Instruction

New for 2010, Selected Summer Saturday and Sunday Group Lessons.  In this surfing format, you'll learn the fundamentals of surfing in a mixed ages and sexes group environment.  NWWSC provides all the surfboards, Gath surf helmets and board transportation.  Wetsuit equipment is not included.  Maximum of 8 students per session.  We teach 14 to 70 years young.  All students must have advanced beginner swimming skills, fill out and sign our NWWSC Liability Release Waiver and Registration Form.  Cost for 3 Hour Group Lesson is $135 per person.  Cash or checks payable to NWWSC for lesson payment.

See below dates for Group Lessons to join.  Time and location to be announced morning of or night before, if necessary.  Contact Director Lexie Hallahan at #(503)440-5782 or email her at surfcamps@freedomnw.com to reserve your space in these group lessons.  We encourage you to sign up as early as you know you'll be in town.  We'll meet students at Cleanline Surf Shop, Hwy 101 and First Avenue in Seaside, before heading to the chosen beach location.  Note: in some cases we'll need to meet at the beach location to assure our surfboard trailer parking.

We will also offer our Private Surf Lessons and Surf Coaching throughout the spring, summer and fall, depending on swell conditions.  Time frames for lessons are typically 3 hours after low tide to 6 hours prior to low tide, depending on extremes of that day's tides.  Contact NWWSC Director Lexie Hallahan at #(503)440-5782 or email her at surfcamps@freedomnw.com to book your Private Surf Lessons and Surf Coaching.  Cost is $50/hour per person.

• All of our instructors are highly qualified with current certification in CPR, first aid & lifeguarding.

• Our teacher to student ratio is 4:1 or less, depending on the lesson. If more than 4 students sign up for a private lesson, then an additional instructor will also teach.
• NWWSC rental partner, Cleanline Surf Co. , provides us our wetsuit equipment.
• We offer surf instruction for all ages of women, girls, men and boys.
• Advanced beginner to intermediate swimming skills are required
• A liability release waiver and registration form are required by all students. Parents must sign for all minors.
