COED BODYBOARDING CLINICS

New “first time ever” surf offering on the North Oregon Coast, Coed Bodyboard Clinics for adults and teenagers! Experience the thrill of catching waves prone on a custom Hydro bodyboard with swimfins in these fun coed group sessions. These three hour clinics will be coached by three NW women bodyboarders with years of experience between them to share with students.

Four clinics will be offered this 2022 summer season; May 29, June 5, June 19, and August 28, 2022.

Three hour group bodyboard clinic includes: 

  • An understanding of how to survey the beach and ocean conditions for your skill level.
  • Riptide and long shore current awareness. 
  • Learn how to read local tide table to determine the best “bodyboard window” for your bodyboarding skill level. 
  • How to determine best offshore conditions for the beach. 
  • Build your “layers” of understanding with the essential bodyboard skills and techniques from talented bodyboard coaches.
  • Receive bodyboard training on the beach to start with, followed by coaching in the waves.
  • Complimentary 2022 NWWSC Tide Table and Kind Bar per student.
  • All current COVID19 state guidelines are met.

Cost is $130 per person. Teens and adults in each session. Students must be able to carry their bodyboards and swimfins down 1/3 mile trail to beach and back up trail after the lesson. Students also carry their own backpacks filled with wetsuit gear and day’s needs. No sherpas available for hire.

Special bodyboard package rental price of $45 for all clinic participants at both Cleanline Surf Shops, in Seaside and Cannon Beach. Regular rental package pricing is $60. You’ll just need to mention to rental staff that you have a clinic that day with NW Women’s Surf Camps. Bodyboard, swim fins, wetsuit, fin socks, gloves and optional hood are NOT included in this Active.com online clinic booking. Total of clinic and full day’s bodyboard rental package is $175 per person.

Advanced beginner to intermediate swimming skills are required of participants. There is space for 12 students in the four clinics offered this summer season. We keep a safe student to teacher ratio of 4:1. All three coaches are currently CPR and First Aid certified. All have passed lifeguard tests; one is currently certified in Lifeguarding. COED GROUP SURF LESSONS

Experience a fun filled three hour dynamic and comprehensive Oregon surf lesson with adults and teens who share your desire to learn! This 2022 summer season, we are offering nine group lessons on various days throughout the season. This mixed group session creates a supportive circle of new friends cheering one another on while you learn the essential skills to catching a wave. Exceptional, certified and experienced surf coaches share with you the techniques needed to succeed. Student to teacher ratio is 4:1. Gath surf helmets are provided for all participants to prevent concussions.  An email confirmation with all the details for your Oregon surf lesson will be sent to you after you’ve booked with Active.com online.

  • Receive surf training on the beach to start with, followed by coached training in the waves.
  • GATH surf helmets provided for all students.
  • Complimentary 2022 NWWSC Tide Table and Kind Bar per student.

Students must be able to “tag team” carry their surfboards with another student down 1/3 mile trail to beach and back up trail after the lesson. Students also carry their own backpacks filled with wetsuit gear and day’s needs. No sherpas available for hire.
